Summary

The games industry is a vibrant and unique environment in which I hope to begin my career in this coming year. I have recently graduated from my studies in the ‘Professional Masters in Games Development’ which has prepared me with the necessary skills to adapt to the diverse and innovative conditions that occur within the context of a professional creative environment.

Environment art is an area I am very passionate about and whilst this has been my primary focus during my studies I have also taken up opportunities to expand my abilities within character and vehicle creation. During my masters’ year at University, I have been part of a variety of projects for a diverse group of clients. This has allowed me to experience a plethora of different game designs and concepts, ranging from a Virtual Reality Oil Rig Simulation, clinical educational games, and a first-person puzzle game in collaboration with BAFTA. While working on these projects, I had to quickly learn Unreal Engine, as well as Unity, to produce the best work for each project. I was also able to quickly adapt my workflow to best suit the VR pipeline, as it was a new concept for me.

I have participated in several game jams, and animation jams during my time at university which have been very valuable to me to grow as an artist. These have also allowed me the opportunity to improve my communication skills within a team.
